James Richard "Jimmy" Skidmore (8 February 1916, in Manor Park –22 August 1998) was an English jazz tenor saxophonist born in London and father to tenor and soprano saxophonist Alan Skidmore.〔("Saxophonist With Roots In Swing", ''The Scotsman'', 1998.
